清朝雍正やマイセン、ロイヤルコペンハーゲン、柿右衛門、古染付など、美術館で作品を見るのは大好きなんです。上絵の短期教室に参加したり、昨年はボタニカルアートを習ったり少しずつ絵の世界に引き込まれています。
10年くらい前に宋の時代の写しを教室の講座で紹介していました。磁州の書き落とし牡丹は柔らかで温かみがあります。
普通、青花と言ったら元なのでしょうが、宋の磁州や定窯のぷっくりとした丸みのある牡丹に惹かれます。実際描いている絵は小さく余白を意識
しているのですが、これは東洋の器がヨーロッパにてデザインされ洗練されたものを見て逆に影響されてしまいますね。
もちろん李朝も好きですが、筆の伸びやかさはまだまだ真似できません。理想は朝鮮時代の青花です。
今回絵付けは、新しい取り組みとしてチャレンジしてみました。
中国茶に出会ってからもちょうど10年ほど経ち、遊び心のある作品を常々作りたいなとも思っていて、
昨年は土物、コンロ、ボーフラにチャレンジしました。
土物、土鍋といろいろやって来ましたが、絵付けは完全に初めてなので、非常にドキドキします。
I absolutely love viewing works of art in museums, especially those from the Qing dynasty Yongzheng period, as well as pieces by Meissen, Royal Copenhagen, Kakiemon, and old sometsuke. I've gradually been drawn into the world of painting—taking part in short overglaze painting workshops, and last year, I even studied botanical art.
About ten years ago, I came across reproductions of Song dynasty ceramics in a class. I found the Zhizhou-style peonies in carved slip decoration to be soft and full of warmth. While most people might associate qinghua (blue-and-white porcelain) with the Yuan dynasty, I'm more drawn to the rounded, plump peonies of Song dynasty Zhizhou and Ding wares.
The actual paintings I create are small and mindful of blank space, but I think I've been unexpectedly influenced by seeing how Eastern ceramics were refined and redesigned in Europe. Of course, I also love Korean Yi dynasty ceramics, though I still can't quite emulate the freedom and elegance of their brushwork. My ideal would be Joseon dynasty blue-and-white wares.
This time, I decided to try painting as a new challenge.
It's been about ten years since I first encountered Chinese tea, and I've always wanted to create playful, imaginative works. Last year, I experimented with earthenware, portable stoves, and earthenware kettle. While I've worked with earthenware and donabe before, this is my first time trying painting, so I'm feeling excited.
